RhinoCat Designs started in 2019 after I moved from Seattle to Anacortes and realized I needed more creativity in my life. After months of being targeted by ads on IG for a laser engraver, I finally quit my "day" job as an event planner for a doggy daycare, ordered a Glowforge laser without knowing how to use it, and figured it out as I went. Best decision I've ever made for my mental health!
My work leans into my sense of humor that’s sassy, sarcastic, and a dash of sweary when I feel like it. I’m best known for my engraved olive wood coasters, which usually make people laugh and are usually collected by my favorite customers as gifts to give to friends and family. I have done many custom orders and also love making lightweight earrings and custom engraved charcuterie boards.
RhinoCat Designs is named after my original cat and co-worker, Rhino, who passed in 2021 - the sassiest of cats. I now create and play in Anacortes with my husband and our two cats, Odie and Bubba. The other half of my life is running artisan markets and creative events with my business, Creative Avenue in Skagit Valley.
Find me on Facebook and Instagram @RhinoCatDesigns or email me at Frannie.Bigge@gmail.com if you are interested in any custom orders.
I do have an Etsy shop - but I have not got it completely up and running with all of my products yet. If you see something I've posted on social media you like - just reach out directly and we'll make it yours!
You can find my products in real life at Wild Hemlock in Anacortes, or Whidbey Island Trading Co in Oak Harbor.
